Cleveland Browns wide receiver Amari Cooper keeps showing why he’s one of the best offensive playmakers in the league.
With 6:48 left in the second quarter, a pass by Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson was deflected, but Cooper leaped and snatched it out of the air for an 11-yard TD, which gave Cleveland a 10-0 lead over the Arizona Cardinals.
Although the Browns are 4-3, they’ve been hampered by woeful QB play. Watson has posted a below-average 41.8 QBR in four games, and backup QB P.J. Walker has logged a 22.6 QBR in three games.
Despite the dysfunction at the most important position, Cooper has been productive. Entering Week 9, The four-time Pro Bowler has 30 receptions for 478 yards and one TD.
Cleveland needs more acrobatic catches from the star WR, as he’s the silver lining in a weak passing offense.
