DSSSB 2023 vacancy out for 863 posts; Registrations begin from 21st November

The Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board (DSSSB) has released vacancy notification for the recuritment of Warder, Matron, Assistant Superintendent, Assistant Section Officer (ASO), Lab attendant, Special education teacher posts, and many more non-teaching posts.
According to the notice, a total of 863 posts will be filled with this recruitment drive.Eligible candidates will be able to register for the recruitment drive on the official website of DSSSB at , from November 21 onwards, when the link is made active.
Eligibility
Eligibility criteria has been defined separately for each of the advertised posts, and vary based on the job role offered.
However, the basic requirement apart from requiring to have a specialised course of study is that the candidate has to have passed Senior secondary (10+2) with science from a recognised Board.
Candidate’s age must be below 27 years and must be a minimum of 18 years.
Examination details
The Board will conduct the examinations only in centres based in Delhi and NCR region.
Requirements of educational qualification and age requirements are subject to be fulfilled within the 20th of December 2023.
Mode of selection

  • The selection process involves One Tier and Two Tier examination schemes. If any exam questions are deemed invalid, they won’t be assessed, and the candidate’s marks will be prorated out of the maximum marks.
  • To ensure fairness, marks from the Computer Based Test/Exam will be normalized using the formula specified in DSSSB Notice No. 10 (271)/Sec.Cell/DSSSB/18/989 dated 11.07.2018 (Annexure-II). Normalized scores will determine the final merit and provisional nomination/selection.
  • After the exam, draft Answer Keys will be posted on the DSSSB website. Candidates can review and submit objections online within the specified time. Only objections received online will be considered, and the Board’s decision on this matter will be final.
  • The Board has set minimum qualifying marks for different categories (UR/SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwD/Ex-SM) – General/EWS: 40%, OBC (Delhi): 35%, SC/ST/PH (PwBD): 30%. Ex-Servicemen have a 5% relaxation in their categories, with a minimum of 30% if the post is reserved for them.
  • Re-evaluation or re-checking of Answer Sheets/Answer Scripts for DSSSB-conducted examinations is not provided for, and any correspondence on this matter will not be entertained.
  • Negative marking is applicable, with a deduction of 0.25 marks for each incorrect Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) answer.
  • Additionally, the DSSSB reserves the right to cancel/withdraw/delete any question or questions from the Question Paper, and the marks obtained will be prorated out of the maximum marks, as stated in the notice.
