A woman has been stabbed and a man chased down by police after an alleged violent carjacking in a Canberra shopping centre.
A 26-year-old man allegedly attacked a woman with a knife before stealing her car from the multi-storey car park of a Belconnen shopping centre about 11.30am on September 24.
During the horrific attack, the woman was stabbed in the arm and was later transported to hospital for treatment.

ACT police responded to reports of an “aggravated robbery” and spotted the stolen car a short time later in Braddon.
The man was chased down by police after a “short foot pursuit” and arrested about 11.50am.
The man was charged with eight offences including aggravated robbery, intentionally wound a person, knife possession, two counts of failing to stop for police, two counts of dangerous driving and driving while disqualified.
He is due to appear in the ACT Magistrates Court on Monday.
