The 4×2 variants of the Toyota Fortuner and Fortuner Legender which include Petrol MT, Petrol AT, Diesel MT and Diesel AT have witnessed a hike of Rs 44,000. The 4×4 variants have received a price hike of Rs 70,000. The price of the Fortuner GR-S has also been hiked by Rs 70,000 and the SUV now costs Rs 51.44 lakh (ex-showroom).
Talking about the powertrain and gearbox options, the Fortuner is available in two engine options – a 2.8-litre turbocharged diesel engine which puts out 204 hp of power and 420Nm torque in manual and 500Nm in automatic variants. The second engine option is the 2.7-litre, NA petrol engine which puts out 166hp and 245Nm of torque and comes paired with a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatic.

The diesel engine gets two gearbox options – a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatic. Only the diesel variant gets a four-wheel-drive system but the petrol can only be had with a 4×2 option.
In terms of features, the SUV gets an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, connected car tech, semi-digital instrument cluster, 8-way power-adjustable and ventilated front seats, LED headlamps with DRLs, powered tailgate and much more.
