Oneplus recently created a stir on the internet after it was seen offering a 30W wireless Charger for free on its India website. Some users considered it as an error on the company’s part while others thought that the Chinese smartphone maker is giving a clearance sale offer. Now, OnePlus has issued an official clarification on the issue.
What OnePlus said
The official statement released by OnePlus reads “We regret to inform you that your order for the OnePlus 30W Wireless Charger will be canceled due to an incorrect price set. We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused.”
OnePlus India has verified the cancellation of orders for the OnePlus 30W Wireless Charger due to a pricing error. To make up for this inconvenience, the company is offering affected customers a discount coupon worth Rs 800. The coupon amount will be applied directly to your OnePlus account for use on their mobile app or website.
“As a token of our apology, we will be issuing a new coupon worth Rs 800 off on accessory purchases of Rs 1500 or more. This coupon will be credited to your account directly. If you have any additional questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact our customer service team. They will be more than happy to assist you,” the company added.
OnePlus Open to launch on October 19
Meanwhile, OnePlus is all set to launch its first foldable smartphone in India. The company has confirmed that it will launch the OnePlus Open smartphone in the country on October 19. A recent online report revealed that the company may price the OnePlus Open at $1,699 (Rs 1,41,405 approx) making it slightly cheaper than the recently launched Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5.
