One offender, 100 challans: Bengaluru rider racks up challans in excess of Rs 50,000

In a bizarre case of traffic violations, a Bengaluru rider has reached an unusual milestone of being challaned for 100 traffic offences. The rider, who has not been publicly identified, is said to have violated a variety of traffic rules, including riding without a helmet, riding the wrong way on the road, and jumping red lights, using mobile while riding, and even defective number plate used with challans worth Rs 56,000 imposed on him.
The matter came to light when a X (formerly known as Twitter) user uploaded a footage of the rider recorded on his dash cam. As seen in the video, the habitual violator is yet again seen riding his scooter on the wrong side of the road and that too, without a helmet on. The youngster is riding the old-gen Honda Dio scooter finished in black paint scheme.

The identity of the rider is not disclosed but considering the amount of amount of challans the scooter has against its name, it is worth noting that such violators are not just putting their lives on risk while making a mockery of the traffic regulations but also become a moving hazard for other motorists.

While the incident has raised concerns over the traffic regulations in the state, it has also highlighted the importance of dash cams. Dash cameras are typically mounted on the windshield of the cars and continuously records the movement of traffic ahead and everything that is happening on the road. It enables you to record video footage, which you can eventually use as an evidence in case of fraud insurance claims, to prove your innocence in case of accidents, and to document other traffic violators, like in this case.
