The teaser image doesn’t reveal much about the upcoming X2, the SUV will feature a much larger grille outlined by a thin LED strip. The SUV will also feature newly designed sleek LED headlamps with two vertical LED DRLs. The teaser also reveals two prominent creases at the centre of the bonnet. Other expected highlights include 18-inch alloy wheels, an integrated roof spoiler, skid plates and much more.
There are no details about the interior, it’s expected that the X2 will get a similar dashboard layout as the X1 with twin digital screens for the instrument cluster and infotainment system. It might also get a floating instrument panel with a three-spoke steering wheel with paddle shifters. Expected features include ventilated seats, panoramic sunroof, wireless charger, wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, dual-zone climate control, hidden AC vents, park assist, ADAS and much more.
Talking about the powertrain and gearbox, the next generation X2 might get diesel, petrol and plug-in hybrid engine options. Reports suggest that there will also be an all-electric version, in the form of iX2. It could get a 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder diesel, 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder, turbo petrol engine paired with dual-clutch automatic transmission.
