Kylie Jenner is being lambasted online for posting and then deleting a photo on Instagram showing her support for Israel following a Hamas attack that has killed hundreds.

The socialite shared an image to her Instagram story displaying a photo of the Israeli flag and the words, “Now and always, we stand with the people of Israel!”

But after Jenner was peppered with complaints and images of the Palestinian flag, the beauty mogul removed the post.

Her abrupt U-turn didn’t escape notice on social media with many branding The Kardashians star a “coward.” The website Pop Tingz reported that her actions cost her “around a million Instagram followers.”

“She’s terrified to show support for over 700 innocent men, women, and children being murdered [and] dozens more taken hostage, including some Americans and thousands wounded,” Libs of TikTok creator Chaya Raichik wrote.

“Well, we know she is a gutless, useless coward,” another critic swiped. “Just another rich, worthless witch.”

“Girl, if that’s what you support, then stand by it,” one person added on Twitter after Jenner scrubbed the post. “Or was it just more performative activism? Don’t double back now that you’re getting backlash.”

“It’s actually way worse that Kylie Jenner just deleted the Israel post,” another suggested. “It shows a lack of knowledge and care, she just posted it to be talked about.”

The Palestinian militant group Hamas attacked into Israel on Saturday morning, with dozens of fighters streaming over the country’s border with the Gaza Strip and firing rockets into the country.

At least 260 bodies were recovered from the site of Trace Music Festival on Sunday, according to the Washington Post. Across the country, at least 700 people have been killed, with many more still missing. Hamas claims hostages are being held in tunnels and other secure locations in Gaza.

While Jenner recanted her support, many other Hollywood A-listers are standing by Israel as the nation formally declares war against Hamas.

“I stand with Israel you should too. The world cannot sit on the fence when these horrific acts of terror are happening!” Israeli-born Wonder Woman star Gal Gadot posted to Instagram.

“I have no words. I am praying for my many family members in Israel. What a cowardly act,” Frozen star Josh Gad wrote. “What we are witnessing in real time right now is unprecedented since the Yom Kippur war. My heart breaks for the families of those who have lost loved ones, and for the hostages who have been taken. What a horrific day.”

Comedian Amy Schumer added her voice to the chorus of supporters in an Instagram post, writing, “Jewish people are the only group not allowed to defend themselves.”

Meanwhile, Sara Foster, the daughter of music producer David Foster, criticized prominent Palestinian backers for staying silent on the violence being perpetrated by Hamas.

“You can still be a proud Palestinian who holds Hamas accountable for this,” she challenged.

“My heart goes out to Israel,” Madonna added in a lengthy Instagram message. “To Families and Homes that have been destroyed. To children who are lost. To Innocent Victims who have Been Killed. To All who are Suffering or who will suffer from this conflict. I’m Praying For you.”

“There is so much complexity to this,” Sarah Silverman said. “But make NO MISTAKE Hamas is a terror organization [whose] mission statement is kill all Jews. This f—ing world breaks my heart.”

At the band’s show Sunday at Sphere in Las Vegas, U2 dedicated Pride (In the Name of Love) to the hundreds of music fans killed at the music festival.

“Sing for our brothers and sisters — who they themselves were singing at the Supernova Sukkot festival in Israel,” singer Bono said. “We sing for those. Our people, our kind of people, music people. Playful, experimental people. Our kind of people. We sing for them.”

The frontman continued, “In the light of what’s happened in Israel and Gaza, a song about non-violence seems somewhat ridiculous, even laughable, but our prayers have always been for peace and for non-violence… But our hearts and our anger, you know where that’s pointed. So sing with us … and those beautiful kids at that music festival.”
