The upcoming Xoom 160R will mark Hero MotoCorp’s entry into scooters beyond 125 cc.The Xoom 160R makes use of a 156 cc liquid-cooled engine, which is said to be different from the one seen on the Xtreme 160R 4V if that’s what you’re wondering. It should be noted that the specs of the scooter are yet to be revealed, but we do know that it gets a silent starter and i3S Technology (idle start-stop feature).

The Hero Xoom 160R features a proper maxi-scooter design with a large visor up front along with dual headlamp chambers. It gets 14-inch wheels with block-pattern MRF Zapper Kurve tyres, a single-piece seat with remote opening function, find-my-scooter function and so on. While no launch details have been revealed so far, we expect Hero MotoCorp to release the scooter in India in the first half of next year.
The Hero Xoom 160R could carry a price tag of about Rs 1.2 lakh. In contrast, the Yamaha Aerox 155 is currently priced from Rs 1.47 lakh, while the Aprilia SXR 160 carries a base price of Rs 1.46 lakh (all prices, ex-showroom).
