Gear Head launches L 2.0 electric cycle at Rs 25,000: Gets 30km range on pedal assist, fast charging

Hyderabad-based EV technology provider Gear Head Motors has launched the L 2.0 Series electric cycle at a starting price of Rs 25,000. The L 2.0 Series e-cycle is equipped with a 250-watt GHM motor and offers a range of up to 30 km on pedal-assist. It also features fast-charging capabilities via a 3 Amp fast charger. The company has claimed that the battery on this EV can be juiced fully in 2 hours through the battery management system.

Powering this electric cycle is a 36V 6Ah lithium-ion battery. Other features include disc brakes on both wheels featuring e-cutoff technology that automatically stop the motor when the brakes are applied, LED lights, telescopic front forks with 100mm travel and 27.5 inch tyres. Based on a carbon steel frame, the top-speed of this EV is governed at 25 kmph.
Apart from that, the manufacturer says that the L 2.0 Series e-cycle boasts of a robust build designed to withstand water and dust, enhancing the e-bike’s longevity and reliability. Furthermore, there’s a lifetime warranty for the frame of the bicycle while the battery pack gets a warranty for 2.5 years. The L 2.0 series electric bicycle ticks the weighing scale at 22 KGs and is available in two colour options – Red and Sky Blue.
Speaking at the launch, Nikhil Gunda, co-founder of Gear Head Motors, said, “We hold the Make in India certification as over 85% of the cycle’s components are produced locally, supporting local industries and significantly reducing our carbon footprint.”
