OMI Foundation has unveiled a digital platform, the EV-Ready India Dashboard (evreadyindia.org) in India. This platform aims to provide comprehensive macroeconomic data and analysis for India’s rapidly growing electric mobility sector. It used the power of data and AI to offer real-time insights and foster collaboration within the industry. RK Singh, Union Minister of Power, New and Renewable Energy, Government of India unveiled the dashboard.
The platform will offer sales data from all Vahan states and Telangana. It provides a view of the state of charging infrastructure, demand trends, and total cost of ownership (TCO) comparisons, catering to the needs of EV buyers.
Additionally, it tracks the investments for EVs, predicts market growth, and identifies EV hotspots across the country. Furthermore, it features a tracker for emissions avoided, aimed at keeping a tab on the country’s net-zero emissions.

According to the dashboard’s estimates, India is expected to witness over 1.6 crore annual EV deployments by 2030. Maharashtra and Delhi take the lead in charging station numbers, while Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Maharashtra, Gujarat, and Karnataka excel in various segments of EV manufacturing and research. Chandigarh has reported the lowest public charging supply tariff, significantly lower than the national average.
The EV-Ready India Dashboard encompasses a wide array of features, catering to policymakers, industry stakeholders, and end-users. These features include consolidated sales data, EV adoption forecasts, financial benefits analysis for potential buyers, a repository of policies and regulations, comprehensive charging infrastructure insights, and tracking of investments across the EV value chains. Additionally, it keeps a record of India’s progress towards achieving net-zero emissions and provides a centralized hub for news and blogs related to the EV ecosystem.
