However, it has now officially been confirmed that the Hyderabad E-Prix will be held as the Round 4 of the 2024 Formula E season on February 10, 2024. The pre-season testing begins on October 23, 2023 in Valencia, Spain, while the season officially kicks off in Mexico City on January 13 next year. For the 2023-24 season, teams will be heading to 11 different countries for a total of 16 rounds.

Formula E says that the 2023 Hyderabad E-Prix delivered an uplift of almost USD 84m or about INR 698 crore to the city’s economy. Alberto Longo, Co-Founder & Chief Championship Officer, Formula E, said: “We are honoured to return to India thanks to the support of the Telangana Government and Minister K. T. Rama Rao. The combination of street circuits, which is in Formula E’s DNA, and established race tracks will allow drivers to push the capabilities of the GEN3 car harder and further after a first season that beat all expectations with triple-digit overtakes in most races and the world championship titles decided on the final weekend.”
