September and October are some of the most exciting months of the year if you’ve been waiting all year to see the latest and greatest tech, even if that just means meeting the annual new iPhone.
Of course, events are also planned for entertainment, cars, and more, and you’ll be able to catch all the latest news on major events and conferences here on The Verge.
September 26th marks Vox Media’s Code event, which includes Verge editor-in-chief Nilay Patel co-hosting alongside Platformer founder Casey Newton and CNBC senior media and tech correspondent Julia Boorstin. This year, Code features guests including X / Twitter CEO Linda Yaccarino, Warner Music Group CEO Robert Kyncl, Allen Media Group CEO and founder Byron Allen, and more.
Also this week, Meta will host its Connect event on September 27th and September 28th, where it will share updates on its virtual reality developments, including the Quest 3. Earlier this month, we caught a glimpse of new Meta smart glasses with Ray-Ban branding. And Meta reportedly has a “sassy” new chatbot it might show off.
Rewinding back to early September — the IFA consumer electronics show in Berlin kicked off the events slate and then led into the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) that ran through September 17th (Here are our 12 favorite movies from the festival.) The schedule truly picked up with Apple’s iPhone 15 launch event, dubbed “Wonderlust,” which was closely followed by dueling events from Nintendo and Sony PlayStation on September 14th.
Amazon and Microsoft took the stage with competing hardware events in the same week of September 18th. The companies have similar ambitions to expand across both consumer hardware and generative AI tools for both consumers and businesses.
Techtober (or is it Techtember?) is here for the fall, and here’s where it all lands. Check out all the events that are yet to come:
