Police have released the images of Denzel Hinch, 19, and Eliah Bligh, 18, amid their investigation.

They have urged them to come forward, as well as anyone who knows where they are.

Members of the public are warned not to approach the duo if they spot them.

Police previously said the victim suffered “lacerations to his chest” in the “serious assault” about 6.20am.

The man was taken to Toowoomba Hospital in a serious but stable condition.

Detectives established a crime scene and investigations are ongoing.

“We will keep investigating this until we find those offenders,” Police Commissioner Katarina Carroll said last week.

Neighbours of the injured man spoke to 7NEWS saying they were in “absolute shock”.

One neighbour who has lived next to the injured man for 40 years told reporters he feels they “don’t live in a safe neighbourhood anymore”.

“There’s just no safety anymore,” he said.

“We’re jailed in our own homes.”
