The BMW X4M40i will be powered by a 3.0-litre Turbo inline 6-cylinder petrol engine which produces 360hp of power and a maximum torque of 500 Nm at 1,900 – 5,000 rpm.BMW claims the SUV can sprint from 0-100 km/hr in just 4.9 seconds and has a top speed of 250 km/hr. The engine also gets 48-volt mild hybrid technology. The car also gets different driving modes such as ECO PRO, COMFORT, SPORT and SPORT Plus.

The Engine comes paired with an 8-speed Steptronic Automatic transmission which sends power to all four wheels. The car also gets an M Sport differential and BMW says it enhances traction and cornering by electronically controlling the distribution of power to each wheel.
In terms of design, the new X4 M40i features a coupe-SUV silhouette. At the front, it gets a large BMW M kidney grille with a chrome frame with sleek LED headlamps. Other exterior highlights include L-shaped LED DRLs, sleek LED taillamps, glossy black grille, skid plates, ORVMs and new 20-inch gloss black alloy wheels with red callipers.
Inside, the new X4 M40i features a dual-tone theme for the interior with twin 12.3-inch screens for the instrument cluster and infotainment screen, leather upholstery, a three-spoke steering wheel, ambient lighting, a three-zone climate control system, reclining rear seats, panoramic sunroof and much more.
Safety features include six airbags, Attentiveness Assistance, Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) including Cornering Brake Control (CBC), electric parking brake with auto hold, side-impact protection, electronic vehicle immobilizer and crash sensor, ISOFIX child seat mounting and more. The X4 M40i will be available in Brooklyn Grey and Black Sapphire. It also features the standard leather Vernasca in Black and Tacora Red options.
