Bengaluru-based EV maker Ather Energy has inaugurated its maiden international dealership in Naxal, Kathmandu, Nepal, in partnership with Vaidya Energy, a subsidiary of Vaidya’s Organization of Industries & Trading Houses (VOITH).
Under this partnership, Vaidya Energy will oversee the distribution and after-sales maintenance of Ather products in Nepal, alongside the establishment of Ather Grids, fast-charging stations, aimed at addressing the concerns about limited range among users.
Although the pricing for the 450X model in the Nepal market is not known yet, considering the disparity in prices of similar two-wheeler models between India and Nepal, it is expected to be approximately around the Rs 4 lakh-mark, ex-showroom.
The 450X electric scooter now offers two battery options – 2.9 kWh and 3.7 kWh. Equipped with park assist, auto hold, fall safe, and a 7-inch TFT touchscreen cluster integrated with Google Maps, the 450X claims a range of up to 146 km on a single charge, with a maximum speed capped at 90 kmph.
