Trumer Pils’ East Bay brewery, which has been around since 2004, will celebrate the new taproom, Trumer Brauerei, located at 1404 Fourth St. in Berkeley, on Oct. 7 from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. as part of an Oktoberfest celebration.

The addition of a new and bigger brewhouse means Trumer Pils brewers can produce more than just the classic pilsner. The brewery now promises six beers on tap: a Vienna lager, a Helles golden lager, a Schwarzbier lager, and three kinds of pilsner, as well as wines from New Zealand, Oregon and California.

The new taproom was added as part of a renovation project at the existing brewery, a company spokesperson said. The space used to have a tasting room, but it was accessible only as part of its brewery tours, which were halted due to the pandemic. The company said it hopes to reintroduce brewery tours in the near future.

The brand hopes to host several big events each year at the taproom, including the 20th anniversary of the Berkeley outpost next year.
