Spears’ dogs appear in the background of the clip, but are scared off by her jerky movements, bizarre smile and clanging blades.
On Instagram, the Toxic singer turned commenting off, but on X, formerly Twitter, fans said the her upload was evidence that she isn’t doing well following her split from from estranged husband Sam Asghari last month.
“The debate is over,” one person wrote. “Britney Spears is insane and can’t take care of herself. At this point, we even have to ask if she could be a danger to others. For a year, she’s been dancing incessantly in the exact same spot, and now she’s even waving knives around.”

“Just a normal day in 2023 where I start my day with watching a video of Britney Spears dancing with knives,” a second observed, while a third crudely joked: “Britney Spears sparks fan concern and OJ Simpson’s interest after dancing with knives.”
Spears followed up her alarming post with another dance video, frolicking around in a white long-sleeve crop top, pink bikini bottoms and white boots to Indila’s Love Story.
Earlier this year, TMZ reported that Spears — who was involuntarily hospitalized twice in 2008 and sent to a mental health facility in 2019 — has a long-held “fascination with knives.”
As the conservatorship that governed her life for 13 years came to an end in 2021, the outlet reported that several people close to the singer made a variety of recommendations, including that she not be allowed to drive alone and that she be kept away from knives.

“Britney viewed knives as a means of protection,” TMZ reported in May. “She has a constant fear of being re-institutionalized, something she’s referenced in the past. Given her mental struggles that sometimes resulted in manic and volatile behaviour, the recommendation was cautionary.”
Following her split from Asghari, insiders also told TMZ that the Iranian-born model complained to friends that the Grammy winner was abusive throughout their seven-year relationship. “There have been numerous fights where security has had to step in,” an insider alleges, “but in one instance there was no security in sight.”
On one occasion, Asghari claimed that Spears flew into a rage while he was sleeping and he “was stunned as his wife pummelled him.”

Sources added to TMZ that Spears had a fascination with knives and kept weapons in various rooms all over their home, including in their bedroom. As one insider put it, Spears “was paranoid someone was going to get her, and she needed the knives as protection.”
Spears allegedly has a temper and could “fly off the handle” at any given moment and that frightened Asghari.
With his divorce filing catching her off guard, insiders close to Spears worry that she’s headed on a “downward spiral.”
“Some people are of the opinion that Britney’s on a dangerous downward spiral,” a source exclusively told Us Weekly last month, adding, “And the stuff she’s been (doing) hasn’t done much to dampen that worry. The concern for Britney’s welfare right now is off the charts.”
