2024 Skoda Kodiaq: 2024 Skoda Kodiaq design sketches revealed: Aggressive styling with Matrix headlights
Based on the revealed design sketches, the 2024 Kodiaq features sharp design elements with a sculpted bonnet and split headlamp setup. It also gets squared off wheel arches and Skoda says the wheel options will range from 17 to 20 inches. It also gets blacked out Škoda’s butterfly grille with large air dams on both ends.
The revealed sketches also reveal C-shaped connected LED tail-lamps with a solid rear bumper and it also gets Skoda lettering on the tailgate. The new Kodiaq will be longer and will also boast bigger boot space while the wheelbase will remain the same as the outgoing model. Skoda also announced that the Kodiaq will feature LED Matrix headlights with crystalline design elements.
The new Skoda Kodiaq has completed an intensive test in various terrain and climate conditions and Skoda claims that the SUV has covered more than 10 lakh kilometres over the last two years. The SUV has travelled north of the Arctic Circle while also visiting Arizona, Spain, and Africa. The real-world testing of the Kodiaq started two years ago and the company also claims to have simulated 40 years of real-world use through additional endurance and material assessments on test rigs and in laboratories.
The company has already revealed the interior of the Skoda Kodiaq, the SUV features a newly designed dashboard layout with a big free-standing touchscreen infotainment system with small rotary dials below with a small screen embedded inside. The SUV gets vertically stacked vents with more use of leatherette upholstery. Skoda says that the upholstery is made entirely out of recycled polyester. Another big change is the placement of the gear selector on the steering wheel column similar to Mercedes-Benz models.
In terms of features, the Kodiaq gets a 13.5-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, a 10-inch digital instrument cluster with a HUD display, 15W wireless smartphone charging with active cooling, unique LED ambient light strip placements and umbrella storage at the front doors. Other expected features include connected car tech, an in-built navigation system, a premium sound system, a performance-oriented features display, a power delivery display and an off-road information display.

Talking about the powertrain, the Kodiaq is expected to be offered in multiple engine options which include a 1.5-litre TSI, 2.0-litre TSI and a 2.0-litre TDI paired with a 7-speed DSG gearbox. It might also get a 1.5-litre TSI plug-in-hybrid paired with a 6-speed DSG.
